April 18, 2026: The Paintings Of Galen Wolf
More than 50 pieces of art by Galen Wolf were on display during this one-day show. An accomplished storyteller as well as a talented artist, Galen’s knowledge of the Coastside's history was acquired firsthand, through his own experiences and those of his family and friends. Galen painted the California Missions in the 1930s, worked as a WPA artist in the early 40s, and developed a unique style of painting he called "mosaic" in the 1950s. He was a founding member of Thirty and One Artists, the Society that of Western Artists, and, more locally, the Spanishtown Historical Society.
March 28, 2026: The Future of Normal
There is no such thing as a “normal” way to think, act or learn.
The Future of Normal is a documentary by local filmmaker Gail Evenari that explores how our society’s rigid standards of conformity have marginalized individuals who think and learn differently.
Join us for an evening featuring clips from the work-in-progress, including conversation with the audience and special guests from both in front of and behind the camera.

Food Drive for Coastside Hope
FILL THE FOOD DRIVE BARREL IN THE ODD FELLOWS LOBBY
This is an exciting partnership between UU Coastside and Odd Fellows. Many people living on the Coastside are experiencing greater food insecurity. Coastside Hope maintains a food pantry that is open every weekday and allows those in need to “shop” for the foods they need at no cost. With funding cuts their supplies are running low.
