The Half Moon Bay Odd Fellows Lodge #143 is offering scholarships for students wishing to further their education after graduation from High School.

To be eligible for consideration, you must be:

  1. a resident of the Coastside Community (Montara to Pescadero);
  2. a student planning to attend an accredited college or university for the current/upcoming academic year, or;
  3. a student planning to enroll in a certified program at an accredited trade school for the current/upcoming academic year.

Educational scholarships, when approved, will be at least $750 per year, based upon merit including scholastic achievements and financial need. Students may re-apply for a subsequent year, up to four years in total. All decisions by the Half Moon Bay Odd Fellows Lodge #143 are made at our sole discretion.

Application Package: The application package consists of the following:

  1. Application Form: Application form must be complete and signed.
  2. Academic Record: Official transcripts of high school or college are required.
  3. Applicant's Essay (100 – 300 words): Tell us why you deserve this scholarship. Discuss your interests, goals, background, and your reason for choosing the particular course of study that you will pursue or in which you are presently enrolled.

Application Submission: Your application can be submitted two ways:

Disbursement of Scholarship: Funds will be disbursed after receiving proof of enrollment. Scholarship funds can be used for tuition, books, or other school related expenses. If the scholarship funds are not used by December 31 of this year, the full amount must be returned to the Half Moon Bay Odd Fellows Lodge #143.
