The Peninsula Scottish Fiddlers are exemplars of Scotland’s classical-traditional string music, offering strathspeys, reels, marches, jigs, airs, and waltzes in the authentic styles of the Northeast, the Highlands, the Borders, the Shetland Isles, and Cape Breton.

The Fiddlers, who hail from everywhere between San Francisco and Watsonville, have been playing together for 29 years; many are classically trained, while some are folk-based, and quite a few of them write their own Scottish-styletunes.

Their director and arranger is pianist Shauna Pickett-Gordon, who has collaborated with most of the great Scottish fiddle soloists in North America, and who stewards the annual California Scottish fiddle competition. She and her late husband, Colin Gordon, founded the PSF in 1990 and the Scottish Fiddlers of Los Angeles in 1980.

You can find the Fiddlers on Facebook and in person at Highland Games and other Scottish-themed events around the Bay area. They have twice toured Scotland, and have recorded six CDs. They are happy to perform for your event as well!
