Silent film night featuring two classic humorous films with live piano accompaniment by Shauna Pickett-Gordon.

The Immigrant (Charles Chaplin – 1917 – 25 min)

The film stars Charlie Chaplin's Tramp character as an immigrant coming to the United States who is accused of theft on the voyage across the Atlantic Ocean, and falls in love with a beautiful young woman along the way. It also stars Edna Purviance and Eric Campbell. When he arrives in New York, his troubles have only begun.

Sherlock, Jr. (Buster Keaton – 1924 – 44 Min)

Buster Keaton plays a daydreaming movie projectionist in love with an unattainable woman. While napping on the job, Sherlock dream-walks into a surrealistic fantasy world, where he battles dastardly villains and wins the heart of his gal.

“No other silent films turns logic on its head with such grace and comic hilarity.” – Sean Axmaker, Seattle Post-Intelligencer
